O DHDA-7708 BK é um composto semicondutor termoplástico projetado especificamente para o revestimento de cabos de média, alta e altíssima tensão. Combina as excelentes propriedades físicas e a baixa transmissão de umidade que são associadas normalmente com os materiais de revestimento isolante da Dow, com a condutividade dos compostos termoplásticos semicondutores para blindagem isolante. Nas aplicações de cabos de média tensão, um revestimento semicondutor proporciona durabilidade do cabo e prolonga a vida útil do cabo pela redução da tensão de impulso neutro-à-terra. O revestimento semicondutor permite a análise diagnóstica na bobina nas aplicações de alta e altíssima tensão.
Em comparação com materiais termoplásticos convencionais, o DHDA-7708 BK oferece:

DOW HFDA-0100 BK is a specially formulated semiconductive, vulcanizable compound designed for conductor shield and bonded insulation shield applications in medium voltage crosslinked polyethylene insulated cables.(1) DOW HFDA-0100 BK has stable volume resistivity characteristics at elevated temperatures and is formulated with a polymer system that has demonstrated compatibility with copper and aluminum conductors.

DOW HFDA-0100 BK is designed for use in power distribution cables. Cables with conductor and insulation shielding of DOW HFDA-0100 BK, prepared using sound commercial fabrication practice, meets the following specifications:

(1) DOW HFDA-0100 BK EXP3 BK is recommended for use in conjunction with DOW cross-linked polyethylene and tree-retardant cross-linked polyethylene compounds. For other polymer insulation such as EPR and EPDM's, the user is cautioned to establish the utility of DOW HFDA-0100 BK with each formulation.

DOW ENDURANCE™ HFDB-0801 BK EC is a vulcanizable semiconductive compound based on a polyethylene copolymer and is designed for conductor shield and bonded insulation shield applications in crosslinked polyethylene insulated medium and high voltage cables.(1) DOW ENDURANCE™ HFDB-0801 BK EC has improved processability and demonstrated compatibility with copper and aluminum conductors.
DOW ENDURANCE™ HFDB-0801 BK EC was specifically developed utilizing a special acetylene carbon black to provide a super-smooth surface yielding a more perfect interface between the extruded shield and the insulation. As a result, significantly improved cable performance can be expected. DOW ENDURANCE™ HFDB-0801 BK EC is formulated with a higher temperature peroxide. Thus, DOW ENDURANCE™ HFDB-0801 BK EC is less subject to pre-cure or scorch within the processing extruder and die.

Dow ENDURANCE™ HFDC-4202 EC is a long-life, water-tree-retardant, unfilled, crosslinkable, low density polyethylene insulation compound designed for distribution and transmission power cable applications. It has a very low level of contamination and bears the designation Extra Clean (EC). HFDC-4202 EC has been designed to have a low level of additive bloom for a long storage life, low dusting and an enhanced degree of scorch retardance for long production run lengths during cable manufacture. The permanent tree-retardant additive provides improved performance in power cables in service involving exposure to moisture while retaining the excellent physical, electrical, and processing attributes of conventional, crosslinkable polyethylene.
DOW ENDURANCE™ HFDC-4202 EC compound provides electric utilities with:
