SYNTHOS PS GP 525 is general purpose polystyrene (GPPS) with excellent optical properties, gloss and balanced combination of rheological, mechanical and thermal properties. It is colorless, thermoplastic material designed for injection moulding, extrusion and thermoforming. Product has a form of cylindrical granules of diameter 2.5 to 6 mm. The product may contain small amounts of granulate finer than that mentioned above of irregular shapes. Presence of any mechanical impurities in the granulate is not allowed.

APPLICATION
SYNTHOS PS GP 525 can be processed via all the common methods used for polystyrene. Using injection molding one can produce from it various household goods, packaging for food and cosmetics. It is also utilized as coextrusion material during extrusion of boards and films with glossy finish. Its properties can be modified by blending with HIPS and SBS copolymers. It can be easily colored. It is not designed for applications where exposure to weather conditions for long periods of time can be expected. The composition of the polymer meets the requirements of the Health and can therefore be used for the production of articles coming into contact with food.
