Emulsion PVC for thermoplastic processing

® Vinnolit E 2178 is a special emulsion polymer with a high K value for rigid film calendering by the Luvitherm process.

Processing and Applications Vinnolit E 2178 in general should be mixed with typical PVC additives for the Luvitherm process using standard mixing techniques. Mixtures based on Vinnolit E 2178 are calen- dered by the low-temperature (Luvitherm) pro- cess to high-quality rigid film.

Particularly advantageous are the excellent stretching properties of such films at high production speeds. Films based on Vinnolit E 2178 show the following benefits:

• Excellent mechanical properties, especially high toughness and tear strength

- Low electrostatic charging capability
- Glossy surface
- Good planarity due to good stretching capability
- Good solvent resistance

On account of these properties, Vinnolit E 2178 is preferably used for films to make adhesive tape.
