Kalix® r9155 is a glass-fiber reinforced high performance polyamide with an average of 91% wt recycled content for the entire material consisting of 34.4% PIR/PCR and 56.4% PIR allocated on a mass-balance basis*. It is hot-water moldable and intended for use in components requiring superior mechanical properties and excellent surface quality. Kalix® r9155 is characterized by high stiffness and strength, very good impact properties, good dimensional stability, low warpage behavior and excellent surface finish. It can be successfully plated, for example with non conductive vacuum metallization, or painted with soft touch or UV top coat paints. Please contact your Syensqo sales representative for more information on suitable plating and painting systems. *Notes: (1) The data was calculated consistent with the international standard for Environmental Labels and Declarations/Self-Declared Environmental Claims, ISO 14021:2016, using a proportion, by mass, of recycled material in a product (without packaging), while only pre-consumer and post-consumer materials were considered as recycled content, also consistent with the standard’s usage of terms. This material is an economical alternative for food service applications using die-cast alloys. Omnix® FC-4050 is cleared for use under United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Conditions of Use B through H, in contact with all food types except Food Type VI C, Beverages containing more than 8 percent alcohol. Omnix® FC-4050 is also cleared for food contact use by European Union regulations. For specific clearances, please contact your Syensqo representative. It processes readily using conventional injection molding machines and methods. Omnix® FC-9050 is approved for food contact and meets FDA regulations for Omnix® FC-9050 NT 000 (natural) and Omnix® FC-9050 BK 000 (black) based on clearances granted by FCN 001242 for repeated use food contact applications with all food types, under FDA conditions of use B through H as described in Tables 1 and 2 of 21 CFR 176.170(c). It processes readily using conventional injection molding machines and methods.
