Casico FR6082 is a thermoplastic, reduced fire hazard, zero halogen black jacketing compound combined with high mechanical strength, toughness and excellent extrusion properties. The composition is based on the elements Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Silicon and Calcium. Compounds based on these elements will therefore be the only significant constituents of the combustion fumes. Other elements may be present in concentrations less than 0.1%.
Casico FR6082 contains 2,5% well dispersed furnace black of nominal particle size less than 25 nanometres in order to ensure excellent weathering resistance.
Applications
Casico FR6082 is designed for:
- Jacket for energy cables
The principle feature of this compound is the high physical strength and toughness. It can be used in areas sensitive to smoke or corrosive and toxic combustion products. For most cable constructions, Casico FR6082 has sufficient flame retardancy to satisfy single wire vertical burning tests.

DOW HFDA-0100 BK is a specially formulated semiconductive, vulcanizable compound designed for conductor shield and bonded insulation shield applications in medium voltage crosslinked polyethylene insulated cables.(1) DOW HFDA-0100 BK has stable volume resistivity characteristics at elevated temperatures and is formulated with a polymer system that has demonstrated compatibility with copper and aluminum conductors.
Specifications:
DOW HFDA-0100 BK is designed for use in power distribution cables. Cables with conductor and insulation shielding of DOW HFDA-0100 BK, prepared using sound commercial fabrication practice, meets the following specifications:

- BS 7870-4.10
(1) DOW HFDA-0100 BK EXP3 BK is recommended for use in conjunction with DOW cross-linked polyethylene and tree-retardant cross-linked polyethylene compounds. For other polymer insulation such as EPR and EPDM's, the user is cautioned to establish the utility of DOW HFDA-0100 BK with each formulation.

DOW™ DGDA-5311 is a Polyethylene resin designed to cover the demanding geomembrane market that is manufactured by blown or Cast film extrusion. It has excellent mechanical properties, both in tensile and tear and resistance to cracking in an aggressive environment. Utilizing higher density MDPE gives DGDA-5311 NT low product permeability, providing an excellent barrier to water and other liquid media. Thanks to its density, the Dow resin facilitates the winding process during extrusion and the adaptation to the irregularities of the terrain during the installation of the geomembranes.

DOW™ Wire & Cable DFDK-6010 BK | Europe |
DOW™ Wire & Cable DFDK-6010 BK is a carbon black filled masterbatch and contains an ageing stabilizer. It is specifically designed to be compatible with Dow Polyethylene Resins for use as black telecom, power and fiber optic cables. To achieve 2.6 % carbon black in the finished jacket, DOW™ Wire & Cable DFDK-6010 BK should be incorporated at a level of 6.2 %.
With the recommended carbon black content DOW™ Wire & Cable DFDK-6010 BK provides excellent UV protection for telecom, power and fiber optic cables.
Processing:
DFDK-6010 BK carbon black masterbatch and the selected Dow Polyethylene Resin should be introduced to the extruder hopper uniformly in the correct ratio to ensure a consistent 2.6% carbon black throughout the final product. Use melt extrusion temperatures appropriate for the chosen base resin.
