Parts molded of CELSTRAN have outstanding mechanical properties such as high strength and stiffness combined with high heat deflection. The notched impact strength is increased at elevated and low temperatures due to the fiber skeleton built in the parts. The long fiber reinforcement reduces creep significantly. The very isotropic shrinkage in the molded parts minimizes the warpage. Complex parts can be manufactured with high reproducibility by injection molding. Can be used for substituting die cast metal with the advantage of Weight reduction, no corrosion problems, no post treatment.

50% long stainless steel fiber filled PA66
The Celstran PA66-SF50-02 AF3001 Natural is a 50% by weight stainless steel fiber concentrate. This product is intended to be used at levels from 6% to 40% in combination with neat or filled PA66 to achieve the desired level of electrostatic dissipation (ESD) and electromagnetic interference (EMI)/ radio frequency interference (RFI) shielding. The resulting formulation will yield stainless steel levels of 3% to 20%. 'Long Stainless Fiber' materials have a significant advantage over short stainless fiber filled plastics. Conductivity properties increase by nearly 100 times when comparing to similar loadings.
