The expandable polystyrene (EPS) is a rigid cellular plastic with highly versatile uses, from medicine packages to construction industry and roads.

Innova´s technology uses extrusion for manufacturing expandable polystyrene beads in a uniform size, directly through micro-pelletization of polystyrene and pentane. It is an alternative to the traditional styrene monomer pelletization, which demands high water consumption.

As final products, beads with up to 3-millimeter diameter, which can expand until 50 times the original size through steam use, melted and molded in the most various forms.

ST 300N is an expandable polystyrene in the form of nearly spherical beads, containing pentane as an expanding agent. ST 300N can be used in shape moulding machines in a wide range of applications including protective packaging, cooler boxes, high-density applications. ST 300N does not contain chloroflourocarbons and hydrofluorocarbons.
