NIPOL® NITRILE ELASTOMERS (NBR) are recommended when oil or solvent resistance is needed for the proper functioning of rubber parts. Nipol nitrile elastomers are available in a broad range of acrylonitrile content to ensure optimal performance in a variety of conditions. As acrylonitrile content is increased, fuel, oil and solvent resistance improve; low-temperature flexibility and resiliency are improved as butadiene content increases. To obtain a broad spectrum of hardnesses and other essential properties, Nipol elastomers can be blended to achieve optimal performance. Nipol elastomers are the best value for all but the most demanding oil, heat and chemical applications and are available in powder, crumb, liquid and bale forms. Nipol nitrile elastomers are especially suitable for thermoplastics and thermoset modification; they are also used as additives in coatings and adhesives. Special Properties/Applications Scorch resistance for excellent processing with conventional coated zinc oxides. High-performance injection molding, rolls, calendered belting and extruded hose. Fast cure rate. Carboxyl content is 0.083 EPHR.

Paraclean 28L45 is a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile, cold polymerized with a nonstaining stabilizer. Uses: Paraclean 28L45 offers “clean” low-volatility NBR, fast curing, excellent low temperature flexibility with moderate oil resistance, low water absorption and resistant to corrosion. It is recommended for injection molded products, O-rings, seals, gaskets, grommets, diaphragms, hoses and tubes requiring low temperature flexibility.

Paraclean 33L35 is a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile, cold polymerized with a non-staining stabilizer. Uses: Paraclean 33L35 offers “clean” low-volatility NBR for injection molding, fast curing, low water absorption and low corrosion. It is recommended for injection molded products, O-rings, seals, gaskets, grommets, diaphragms, sponge and for blends with PVC.
