Acetron® C Sterra™ Polyoxymethylene POM-C is a general purpose, copolymer acetal grade that is often favored for its porosity free nature. Acetron® C Sterra™ POM-C shapes also offer low moisture and excellent machinability capabilities, making it a very versatile material that can excel in a multitude of environments. As part of the Sterra™ product portfolio, this material contains recycled content and exhibits a significantly lower carbon footprint compared to similar materials derived from non-recycled feedstocks. Ertacetal C / Acetron GP POM-C FG shapes also offer low moisture and excellent machinability capabilities, making it a very versatile material that can excel in a multitude of environments. Due to these characteristics, Ertacetal C / Acetron GP POM-C FG components are used frequently for food contact application, and meet compositional FDA 21 CFR § 177.2470, EU 10/2011, USDA, NSF, Canada AG, and 3A-Dairy compliance requirements.

Acetron VMX Polyoxymethylene POM-C FG (Food Grade) is a EU 10/2011 and compositional FDA 21 CFR § 177.2470 compliant material containing a metal detectable additive, has been specifically tailored for use in the food processing and packaging industries where it can easily be traced by different detection systems installed to detect contamination of the foodstuffs. Acetron VMX FG presents good mechanical strength, stiffness and impact strength, and therefore make this grade especially suited for different applications like gears, scrapers, grippers, etc.
