The grade REPSOL ALCUDIA IMB UV2000 is a masterbatch of additives in LDPE, specially designed for the production of films for greenhouses and tunnels covers. The grade REPSOL ALCUDIA IMB UV2000 contains a combination of the last generation HALS and low rate migration UV absorber. It also contains different antioxidants that prevent thermal degradation of the polymer during the extrusion process. Applications The grade REPSOL ALCUDIA IMB UV2000 is specially recommended for the production of films for greenhouses and tunnels covers with excellent performance against thermal and UV degradation. Repsol recommends the following dosages of REPSOL ALCUDIA IMB UV2000 to produce films, with resistance to 2000 ppm sulphur: • 6 % for films having a lifetime of three continuous agricultural seasons, in the geographical zones where the maximum solar radiation is 160 kLy. • 6,5% for films having a lifetime of four continuous agricultural seasons, in the geographical zones where the maximum solar radiation is 100 kLy. The film duration depends on the quality of the blend. In order to obtain a very good dispersion and homogenization of the additives in the film, the blend must be done under the best conditions.
