Biodegradable resins are expected to contribute to the reduction of environmental problems caused by synthetic resins. Since polylactic acid (PLA) is one of the promising candidates, we have developed a PLA coating agent RESEM Y-225 as an easy-to-use emulsion. By applying Y-225 to a substrate such as paper or film and heat-treating it, a coating with PLA characteristics is easily finished on its surface.

RESEM PLA emulsions are waterborne coating consistings of Poly Lactic Acid (PLA).
The key features are Biodegradable plastic, Biopolymer, Environmetal-frendly coating, food and industrial paper packaging, contribution of circular economy, reduction of waste problems, solvent free, 100% Compostable and heat-sealable agents.
This water-based coating is recommended for a wide range of coating applications to develop new products to solve environmental issues.
