THERPUS F Series

THERPUS F Series is a polyurethane powder developed by Sanyo Chemical Industries using original technology for slush molding. The product has a sharp particle size distribution that enables it to have good meltability and excellent formability properties.

2. Typical Applications:
  • Molding skins for automotive interior parts such as door panels, instrument panels and center consoles.

3. Product Features:
  • The excellent molding characteristics of THERPUS F permit greater design flexibility for automotive interior parts due to excellent powder flow and melting properties.
  • The skin of THERPUS F shows "excellent soft feel" and "good heat and UV aging properties".
  • The low melt viscosities of THERPUS F permit mold temperature reduction of 20-40 C compared with PVC. Thus, it can reduce the energy required and increase production capacity.
  • The skin of THERPUS F can make a contribution to "automotive weight reduction" and "cost reduction of slush molding material".
