Generic Family: Polypropylene Impact Copolymer • Supplied by: KMI Group, Inc.
KM-047IB is a highly isotactic block copolymer with high crystalinity. It shows and excellent balance of strength and impact resistance due to the application of high crystalline technology and the most appropriate rubber design. Its excellent gloss and surface hardness also make it useful in the exterior of family appliances.

Food Contact Application:
KM-047IB meets the FDA requirements in the Code of Federal Regulations in CFR 177.1520 for food contact.

Characteristics:
  • Excellent flowability, strength and hardness
  • High flowability/high strength: Allows for larger and thinner injection molded products
  • High heat resistance -> High utilization temperature
  • High crystalinity -> Short cooling time after injection molding to allow for high speed production
  • Good surface hardness -> Superior scratch resistance
