ALTUGLAS™ BS 150N

ALTUGLAS® BS 150N is a Methyl-methacrylate homopolymer of very high molecular weight. It is available in the form of spherical particles (solid beads) of small size and narrow size distribution. ALTUGLAS® BS 150N is not soluble in water but has low solubility in organic solvents. ALTUGLAS® BS150N is recommended as Matting or Anti-scratch or Anti-slip agent for waterborne coatings. Its small size and composition allow for quick and easy dispersion in any coating system.

ALTUGLAS® BS 150N is also greatly effective as Matting or Light diffusing agent when compounded in other thermoplastic polymers. The narrow particle size distribution of ALTUGLAS® BS 150N ensures homogeneous and reproducible effects.

ALTUGLAS® BS 150N can also be used as component in acrylic composite (example Porous Moulds for ceramic).

Due to its high molecular weight and small size, BS 150N is highly effective as thickening additive in resin systems (example cyano-acrylic glues). ble product (clean-burning) in manufacturing of micro-porous ceramics
