AGON® SOL C 283 BA is a solution styrene-butadiene partial block copolymer, polymerized using an alkyl lithium catalyst. A non-staining antioxidant is added during the production process.
Sustainability
Bio raw materials can be used in production processes together with traditional raw materials. In order to attribute sustainability characteristics to the final product, Versalis applies the Mass Balance approach, an acknowledged methodology that ensures that the sustainability characteristics of the alternative raw material, mixed with traditional naphtha, correspond to those of the final product. BA products are provided with a sustainability declaration indicating the amount of Bio Attributed component. They guarantee identical performance, quality and properties, as they do not differ in chemical composition and physical-mechanical performance from standard products.

The presence of styrene both bound and block at low concentrations allows AGON® SOL C 283 BA to exhibit fast dissolving characteristics and excellent dispersion in styrene polymers and copolymers. The high level of polybutadiene in the copolymer allows higher impact resistance properties. This polymer is recommended if very good gloss appearance is required.

Elastoprene 8134 is a linear block copolymer of styrene and butadiene, having 32% of styrene content, most of it forming a polystyrene block, which gives the polymer a thermoplastic behavior.
It has a non-staining antioxidant system; FDA approved for use in food contact applications and is essentially gel free with a very clear color.
Elastoprene 8134 is used as compounding ingredient for adhesives. The product is an excellent modifier for asphalt applications including self-adhesive roofing membrane and sealant. Also is used in thermoplastic injected shoe soles formulations.
It is presented as free flowing porous crumb making easy its handling and dissolution.

E260 is a self-reinforcing emulsion rubber due to its high styrene content.The design of the elastomer allows for excellent processability during mixing and the special antioxidant used in its manufacture make it non-staining.
Application:
E260 is used as a reinforcing agent that does not alter the final products specific gravity while increasing the hardness, rigidity, abrasive and tear resistance as well as improving the flexibility of vulcanized shoe-soles. This product can also be used as raw material in the manufacture of tires.

K-Resin KR03 alone or in blends, can be extruded into sheet and thermoformed on conventional equipment at high output rates. K-Resin® ECO KR03 BB60 will process on most conventional equipment, allowing the molder to run a crystal clear bottle without expensive machine modifications, special molds, different screws, or dryers.
